Requirements: Smart FTP and a file you need to upload

Smart FTP is an uploading program which you can use for most paid servers.

Advantages to using SmartFTP:

-Can upload multiple files at once
-Asks if you want to overwrite each file as it uploads. (click the checkbox "all" if you want it to overwrite all)
-Fast
-Easy CHOMD-ing
-Can download all files

Disadvantages to using SmartFTP:

-Once a file is deleted, it's gone forever
-Disconnections/ NOOP commands cause it to not recognize files
-No viewing files

Part I: Connection

Your computer needs some kind of connection with your server to upload stuff, so read this part carefully.

Step 1: Domain: At the top of the window, there's a box that has the word: Address. You need to type in your domain; if it's a subdomain, type the host's domain, then slash (/) your subdomain-username. In my case, I'd be saying: hamha.net/

Step 2: User: Your server should have given you a username for logins. At the box, where at the left, it says "Login" put your username.

Step 3: Password: Type in your password where it says password.

Don't worry about the Port...I think SmartFTP helps you with that.

Step 4: Now, click the button under the little "globe" icon. When you hover over it, it should say "Connect"

If you do not understand VERBAL stuff, here's a visual: CLICK

Part II: Uploading

Step 1: Click on the folder you want to upload the file to

Step 2: On the top menu, click COMMANDS>>UPLOAD>>DIRECT>>SELECT FILES . It should show a mini file-select window, that shows the files on the computer. Click to make sure: CLICK

Step 3: Once you've seen the file you want to upload, double click on it. It should look something like this: CLICK

Then you should be able to upload, and la de da da da. So...you've got your uploaded file!!!
